Nicholas and Margaret fitting this time frame has been identified on OPC Cornwall, and this child is nested in between the children of Nicholas and Jane. Nicholas and Bridget Thomas of Ludgvan were married by banns on 30 May 1801, in Ludgvan, Cornwall.[12]Their marriage was witnessed by Christopher Oats and George White.[13]

Nicholas Oats III, born on 01 Apr 1802 and baptized on 25 Apr 1802 in Ludgvan, Cornwall.[14]
The remaining three children attached to this profile need review. One's christening locality is listed as Ludgvan, another as Illogan, another as Camborne, and one as Corbis Bay. There is a fifth child linked on FamilySearch whose christening locality is listed as St. Ives. Nicholas died c. Apr 1846 at the age of 70, while living on Treassowe Road in Penzance, Cornwall. He was buried on 06 May 1846 in Ludgvan, Cornwall.[15][16][17]

Oats-447 and Oates-154 do not represent the same person because: I believe they are two different people - one is my relative but I haven't been able to confirm which one. So I put them both in the tree to be safe.
