Meta Forward (Ada's Granddaughter said that one "Grandma Oates bought a white dress which she wore to the local dance and then she dyed it pink and added matching trim etc. to go to the next dance, then blue to go the next and added blue trim and then she dyed it black . They'd walk up to Cloverside for the dances from Pages Rd - a distance of about 10km which would have taken a couple of hours.
