Biography

Mary was born about 1808. She passed away about 1859.

As part of the Coolattin Estate clearances during the Irish famine, Mary, along with her children, Robert, Richard, Thomas, Ann, Martha and Sarah, her sister, Dolly Moore, and Dolly's son George Moore, left Coolattin, Carnew, Wicklow, Ireland for the port of New Ross, Wexford, Ireland. There they departed 15 April 1851 on board the "Glenlyon". They arrived in Grosse Île, Quebec, Canada East 30 May 1851.

Mary Pasley 42 head of family, Robert 20, Richard 18, Thomas 16, Anne 12, Martha 9, Sarah 7, Sister Dolly Moore 36; George Moore 6 (Dolly's son?) resided Coolattin, Carnew parish, emigrated on the ship Glenlyon left New Ross 15 Apr 1851, arrived in Quebec 30 May 1851. They leased 9-12 acres from Lord Fitzwilliam.^[1]
