She worked for many years as a Cashier for The Farmers and Valley Bank in Tarkio, Missouri for many years before retiring in 1973.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Tarkio, Missouri at the time of her death.
Attended rural schools in Atchison County graduating from Tarkio High School (Class of 1926). Received Normal Teaching Certificate from Maryville State Teacher's College in Maryville, Missouri and taught in rural school in Atchison County until her first marriage.
She and George William Knepper were married on 28 August 1928 in Tarkio, Missouri. They were divorced in or about 1947.
She married Raymond Clark Burns on 30 October 1949 in Tarkio, Missouri.
