He was a retired Boilermaker for local #199 and attended Central Pentecostal Ministries. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Edwin Odom; his father, Alfred V. Odom; and his mother, Katie Odom. He is survived by his wife, Catherine L. Odom; two sons, George Curtis Odom and wife Sherry and Samuel Travis Odom and wife Sheree; one daughter, Debbie Kay Gilmore and husband Michael; six grandchildren, Jacob, Tyler, Michael, Jessie, Zachary, and Joshua; three brothers, Wayne Odom and wife Bonita, Thomas Odom and wife Darlene, and Wesley Odom and wife Jodie; two sisters, Wanda Church and husband Bobby and Edith Lisenby and husband Nathan. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 18, 2005 at Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Don Shoots officiating. Interment will follow in Gap Pond Cemetery.
