Biography

David Odom was born about 1766, probably in Northampton, North Carolina or Sampson, North Carolina

Since he and Frances are in the 1950 census he did not pass away on 30 May 1844 in Newton County, Texas as prior biographers have noted. It's likely he passed away in Alabama.

He died sometime between 1850 and 1860 as he is not listed in any records in Alabama after 1850.

Research Notes

This David is a son of Richard of Anson, NC. Evidenced by Richard's will leaving David his property in Anson, and his brother Jacob's probate leaving an equal share to him as a sibling. Also, daughter Elizabeth was born in Georgia around the time Jacob moved to the Broad River property. Also, dna triangulation with ydna through his brother Sion and Honor's son James.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with David by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with David:

This profile had a GEDcom Junk notation on the weekly Data Doctor's report. I clean that up GEDcom Junk and converted GEDcom biography to a paragraph biography.

The creator of this profile, Daniel Ryder, is no longer a member of WikiTree. Can you help with this orphaned profile?
