Joseph Ogle (b.1707 New Castle, DE - d. abt. 25 Apr 1756 Frederick, MD), is the third son of Thomas Ogle and Mary Crawford.[1][2][3] He married Sarah (b. 1709 DE - d. 18 Apr 1781 Frederick co., MD), daughter of Richard Winters.[4]
Blackburn & Welfy (1906), asserted that Gov. Samuel Ogle was his "kinsman."[5]

Whereas Joseph Ogle, deceased, for consideration mentioned therein, did assign 380 acre part of Resurvey on Fountain Low, recorded in Liber E: 184-185, and Christopher Edelin on 6 Dec 1763 granted Gilbert Kemp the same 380 acres, recorded in Liber 1:19-20, this is to correct metes and bounds on deed. Deed acknowleged by five grantees. Martha wife of Joseph Ogle and Mary wife of James Ogle released dower rights."[35]

I'm not sure Thomas Ogle is descended from Joseph, but they're likely related. Joseph's will mentions Thomas the son of Joseph's brother Thomas, and that might be the same person. (Will also mentions Thomas the son of Joseph's brother Benjamin.)
ETA: [Biographical Dictionary of the Maryland Legislature 1635-1789] does say that Thomas is the son of this Joseph, though it doesn't give sources.
