Biography

In the year 1874 John Glass was united in marriage with Miss Anna Ohnemus, a native of Quincy, and the daughter of Matthew Ohnemus a successful business man and a representative citizen of Quincy. The union of Mr and Mrs Glass has been blessed by the birth of the following named children:

• John Clemens born August 14 1875
• Annie Therisa October 28 1877
• Mary Bernadina September 20 1879
• Clara Bertha February 15 1882
• Mary Henriette August 25 1884
• Charles Lawrence August 15 1886
• Mary Juliana February 17 1889

The family residence is at No 1124 Maine Street.

Mrs. John Glass, nee Ohnemus, died at 10 30 o'clock Thursday morning in her home, 1124 Maine street, of complications. She had been ill for some time.

Mrs. Glass was born in Quincy July 29, 1853, and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic church. She was also a member of St. Elizabeth society of the church. She leaves her husband, seven children, two sons and five daughters:

• Lawrence of Quincy
• Simon of Kansas City,
• Miss Theresa Glass of Quincy
• Miss Bertha Glass of Quincy,
• Mrs. Joseph Jacobi of Hannibal,
• Mrs. Henry Wenzel of Warsaw,
• Miss Berdenia Glass of Chicago,

and one sister, Sister Servatia of Elmgrove, Wis. Eight grandchildren also survive.^[1]
