Jehu Oldham was born on Nov. 17, 1825 to William Oldham and Elizabeth Callihan.[1]
He married Elizabeth Rebecca McGrew. They became the parents of ten children.
Jehu was a member of the Evangelical Church for over thirty years.
Jehu died at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 21 days on Jun. 8, 1900. He is buried at the Hull Baptist Church Cemetery in New Paris, Pennsylvania.[2]

↑ Newspaper Obituary: The Bedford Gazette, Bedford, Pennsylvania, Friday, June 15, 1900; New Paris, June 12 - On June 8 Jehu Oldham, an aged and respected citizen of near Helixville, died after a long illness, at the age of seventy-four years, six months and twenty-one days. He married Miss Elizabeth R. McGrew, and the union was blessed with ten children, of which Margaret (Mrs. Isaac Gordon), W. Finley, Shannon 0., Emanuel S., Daniel J. and Edmund S. and the mother still survive him. He was a member of the Evangelical church for over thirty years, dying with the hope of a Christian. His remains were laid to rest in the Baptist cemetery near this place, followed by a large concourse of relatives and friends. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. D. Sine, of Daley. Mr. Oldham was a son of William Oldham, one of the first settlers in the Allegheny mountains near Crum, Somerset county.
