DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Suzane or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Suzane:

Hi - You just added Oren Aldrich as son to Hannah Tillson Aldrich. There appears to be two named Abel Aldrich. One of them (Aldrich-3560), and one who is the father of Oren Aldrich, (Aldrich-1099). I can't tell if they are the same person, or different. What do you think? Char
Looks like they are father and son.

Hi Suzane

Tartan Trail checking in with you - please reply here if you haven’t received our messages.

Sheena Tait - Scotland Project Membership Coordinator

Hi Suzane,

I am attempting to create a profile for one of my mtDNA ancestresses (I appologise, but I use grammatical English, not politically correct English).

Whist attempting to create her profile, which was created on FamilySearch Tree, where I have been active in creating profiles for many of my deceased family members and ensuring that the profiles adjust to the tree correctly, I have created a profile for one of my ancestress - Margartet Cleeland (FSID = LH5L-WQ1) @ webaddress: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LH5L-WQ1. She is linking to the following information of yours. I don't know if this will create a duplicate profile or not.

If any of the following appear to be a match do not proceed to create the new profile. Connect the existing profile instead. Margaret Susan (Cleveland) Cable 1691 Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America - 1775 ~ Managed by Suzane Oliver. [view] [set as mother] If there is no match above, mark the checkbox by names that are close. This will save a "rejected match" so that others do not confuse them. If one may be a match but you're not sure, request to join the Trusted List or contact the Profile Manager.

I am currently adding sources to my profiles with assistance from another Wikitree Member who is mentoring me and editing my source additions to post 1700's profiles, so I don't know if I can yet create pre 1700 profiles. I also don't want to create a duplicate profile of my 7th mtDNA GGM.

Hello, are we cousins then? I am descnded from her sister Elizabeth.

The Family tree entry appears to have a spelling issue, however, the spelling is "Cleveland" and they are among the early settlers of Woburn. We are related to the president Grover Cleveland.

I do wonder if you are connecting to the right family. The Clevelands were not Scottish, as far as I have gone, on my home tree I go back to Ipsiwch, https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/L61D-38F, and there are more I could enter. Every time I go looking there have been new entries!

Dont fret about mistakes tho, one can fix them, and Wikitree tracks changes if ever you need to undo something. (thank goodness, especially with common names, one can get very tangled up!)

For the past year I have been working on the Jenks family that settled in Saugus Massachusetts first then Pawtucket Rhode Island, and I have not worked much at all on other branches of my family. If Margaret is your ancestor, and you would like to be her profile manager, let me know. I would be glad to pass her on if you like.

And I am sorry I did not respond to you promptly, I am just recovering from a computer issue that has left me without acess to my home database for three months. I am way behind on everything!

Best of luck, Hi to your mentor, and let me know what I can do to help.

Thank you for the reminder. We moved on the last day of October last year and have been overwhelmed with getting organized and unpacked and finding problems.

Almost all my bookcases have damage from the move, as well two dressers, my china cabinet, two desks, some mirrors broken and paintings damaged and we are now fighting with the homeowners insurance and with the movers..

Had to cut down a few trees, have Roto-Rooter in and we have some plumbing repairs to do, the garage opener fell apart with the car in the garage, the dryer quit, the air conditioner quit.... its been interesting.

and to top it off, my computer has had problems, the video card died. the hard drives seem OK, I have moved two of them into my husbands old machine, but have not moved my genealogy stuff yet.

I will probably rejoin in a bit, I am interested but....

Thanks again for the reminder, I will let you know.

Hi Again Suzane --

I sent you a check-in message two weeks ago about the Great War Project July check in (subproject of Military and War Project). The message asked you about your continued involvement, I have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the Great War project? If I do not hear from you by the same time next week, I will assume that you've moved on to other things. You are most welcome to re-join the project at any time.by answering the g2g posting Here.

Best wishes,

Hello Suzane, I removed the personal family tree's source you recently added to profile Joshua Brown as any personal family tree isn't considered an acceptable source for Pre-1700 profiles. Please refer to the WikiTree sourcing standards if you have questions about the differences between primary, secondary and unsourced records. Thanks for your help.

P.S. Suzane go to this location for a listing of reliable 'Pre-1700' profile sources in WikiTree. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Puritan_Great_Migration_Project_Reliable_Sources If you page down about half-way you'll see a section called: "Unreliable Sources" which includes personal family tree's.

thank you, looks like that was part of an import from Family search, I usually take a better look for mistakes like that, sorry I missed it and I am glad to be part of a team here. This time last year I was packing for a move, and not giving some things the attention they deserved.
