Robert and his brother Roger were twins. Robert died of septicemia from acute appendicitis and gall stones. He was only 22. He never married and had no children. His draft card and Roger's said they were born in 1899, but everywhere else it's 1898. They registered in September of 1918 and didn't have a birthday until November. The later birth date would have put them 17 almost 18. Perhaps the year difference kept them out of the war. In 1918, Robert worked as an Electrician for American Electric Company and lived at home with his parents at 2517 Sunnyside Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. He is described as being short with a medium build; gray eyes and dark hair - very different from his twin.
