Elmina Olivier, daughter of Isidore Valcour Olivier and Feliciana Frilot, was born circa 1860 in Mexico. [1][2] She appeared on a passenger list with her parents on 31 July 1871. The ship Amelia had departed from Tecolutla, Mexico and arrived in New Orleans, Louisiana.[3]
She married Etienne Frilot, son of Louis Frilot and Honorine Reed, on 29 Sep. 1879, their marriage was recorded at St. Peter Catholic Church, New Iberia, Iberia Parish, Louisiana.[1]
Elmina is in the 1880 census twice. She appeared on the census of 1 June 1880 in the household of her parents at Belle Place, Iberia Parish, Louisiana.[4] She and Etienne appeared on the census of 1 June 1880 at Belle Place, Iberia Parish, Louisiana.[5] She and Etienne appeared on the census of 9 June 1900 at Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.[2]
