Biography

Johannes (Jan) Stephanus was born on 6 July 1883; he was the son of Ockert Johannes Matthys Jacobus Olivier and Maria Elizabeth (Gericke) Olivier. He was baptised on 18 October 1883:^[1]

Jan was incarcerated in the British Concentration Camp at Aliwal North when he succumbed to enteric fever in the Camp Hospital on 29 December 1901; he was 19 years old and unmarried.^[2][3][4]
