Occupation: Brandy Producer and probably Cheese Maker
From the Census records dd. 1822-1824 we can confirm that Phillip Jacobus Lodewyk Olivier was a farmer who mainly framer with grapes (800 vines) and made brandy (74 Lagers gewone brandewyn) on a rather large scale. He and his wife also had a large amount of goats (110) , which they probably milked for household use and making cheese. [5]
