Biography

Martha was born in 1786. Martha Olmstead ... She passed away in 1853. [1]

Death: 20 February 1853, Age: 66-67

Burial: Salisbury Family Cemetery, Michigan

The relationship of her husband, Robert Salisbury, to Almeda Salisbury, wife of Martha's brother John is unknown.

Per Martha's memorial page on Find A Grave:

.... "Their first five known children born in Cayuga County, New York were Grace/1804, Alexander Hamilton/1805, Benanuel, Harpman/1809, Aneliza/1813, Harriet/1815. Miranda/1820 was probably born in Pembroke, Genesse Co., New York where there is evidence of Robert's residency in 1817. The 1820 census places Robert and some of his family in Huron Co., Ohio. He is also enumerated again in February 1821 in Pembroke, Genesse Co., N.Y. Apparently the entire family moved to Huron Co., Ohio later that year. The last three children were born there, William M./1823, Alva/1827, Alfred/1831. One son is unknown. First settlers in Howard Township, Cass County, Michigan in 1833 where they remained for the rest of their lives. The Salisbury Cemetery is on one acre of their original land."
