Biography
Capt. Ichabod Olmsted performed Patriotic Service in Connecticut in the American Revolution.
Ichabod Olmsted is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A086284.
Ichabod Olmsted, the son of Samuel and Mary (Rowley) Olmsted, was born 12 September 1725 in East Haddam, Middlesex County, Connecticut.
He raised his family and lived there his whole life.
His marriage to Dorothy Bates is recorded in the East Haddam Town Records[1] They had eleven children.

Ichabod is buried in the Bashan Lake Cemetery, as his wife, East Haddam.[2]
