Amilia Olsen was born 22 February 1873 in a dugout near Jamestown, Cloud Co, Kansas to Hans and Ellen Olsen. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith 11 May 1889 and confirmed at St. Luke's church, later transferring to Our Saviour's Lutheran church at Norway.[1]
She was united in marriage to Edmund Helgiesen Bue. To this union nine children were born.[1]
The family lived near Jamestown until March 1912 when they moved to a homestead near Norway.[1]
She passed away on 15 December 1952 at the home of a son near Norway at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 23 days. Funeral services were held Wednesday, 17 December at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Norway and she was buried in Norway Cemetery, Norway, Republic Co, Kansas.[1][2]

She was baptized in the Lutheran faith May 11, 1889 and confirmed at St. Luke's church, later transferring to Our Saviour's Lutheran church at Norway.
On January 29, 1893, she was united in marriage to Edmund Buer and to this union nine children were born. The family resided near Jamestown until March 1912 when they moved to the present home near Norway.
Her greatest joy and happiness were in caring for her family and attending church activities.
Surviving are eight daughters, Mrs. Anna Scott, Denver; Mrs. Ellen Young, Eagle, Idaho; Mrs. Julia Spelts, Stromburg Neb., Mrs. Clara Berry, Scandia; Mrs. Gladys Northcott, Beloit; Mrs. Mildred Bennett, Mooresvill, Ind.; Mrs. Anna Fredrickson, Belleville, and Mrs. Margaret Davidson, Courtland; one son, Harry Olaf Buer, Norway; two sisters, Mathilda Olsen, Denver, and Louise Buer, Concordia; 38 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 17 at Our Saviour's Lutheran church, Norway. Burial was made in Norway cemetery.

Edmund Buer, son of Helge and Anna Buer, was born March 8, 1862, in Odde, Norway, Europe, and died January 21, 1935, at Norway, aged 72 years, 10 months and 13 days. He was in early childhood baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
In 1880 he left his native land for America, locating in Illinois. In 1886 he hourneyed back to Norway after spending the winter at home he again returned to this country and made hs home with his brother, Helge, at Glasco, Kan.
In 1893 he was united in marriage to Amelia Olsen. To this union were born nine children They moved to their present home west of Norway 25 years ago. He was a faithful member of the church and served as both trustee and deacon.
He is survived by his faithful wife, Amelia Buer; and children, Mrs. Logan Scott of Norway, Kan.; Mrs. Clarence Young of Yuma, Colo.; Mrs. Lester Speltz of Stromsberg, Neb.; Mrs. Emery Berry of Scandia, Kan.; Mrs. Phil Bennett of Hebron, Neb.; Mrs Clair Nesmith, Harry, Alma and Margaret of the home; with 24 grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He is also survived by one brother, Helge, of Bellingham, Wash., six nephews and three nieces.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Norway Lutheran church. Interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery.
