Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
This profile needs source citation which is viewable, either links to the source, or source images. Some of Ancestry’s general databases do not contain source materials. I have been unable to prove definitively JJVO’s parentage, nor any shipping/immigration records. Patronymic naming systems were not universal. There is another man with the same name as JJVO listed in Dutch records, at the same time, with a different wife, different children, all of whom remained in the Netherlands. I have a family surname project on Family Tree DNA, with which I have had little luck in finding volunteers. I continue to search through Wikitree attempting to find any direct male line descendants with a version of the surname who have connected to the original line, but the only people I know of are my second cousins, and they are not interested in genealogy or DNA research. I would love to be able to prove the link back across the pond. I would greatly appreciate it if you let me know if you come across any male line descendants with a version of the surname who are living.
Please correct his place of death. The State of Georgia didn't exist in 1632 this error must have been caused by a glitz in your computer when it adds information automatically. Just a note to bring this to your attention.
Osterhoudt-30 and Van Oosterhout-12 appear to represent the same person because: This recently created duplicate is the oldest paternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge. No tree conflicts. Thanks!
