He was married to Marritje Westfall.
Roelof, son of Henric Oostrum and Mareitje Westfaal, was born 14 July 1758 and baptized on 20 August 1758 in the Reformed Dutch Church of Poughkeepsie and the Flats, Dutchess County, New York. Witnesses were Roelof Oostrum and Marytje Railje (the child's paternal grandparents).[2]
Rebecca, daughter of Hendrick Osterum and Marytjen Westphall, was baptized in the Reformed Dutch Church of Reyn Beeck (Rhinebeck), New York, apparently in late 1772. The record indicates that she was born on Feb. 20. Witnesses were Barend Osterum and Rebecca Westphall.[3]

The attached child, Daniel Benjamin, is listed as having been born on May 22, 1767, without any sources. Two church records have been recently added, here, which indicate that Dennis was born on that date in 1769. The imaged record doesn't include any mention of a twin. The other record is for Benjamin, giving a baptism date of June 7, 1767, without a birth date. Two children born on the same date two years apart.
Henry Ostrum (1804-) is listed on the Berne Genealogy site as the son of Benjamin Ostrum, born 5 May 1767, Rhinebeck, son of Henry Ostrum and Abigail Davenport and spouse of Elizabeth Cole.[12]
