Biography

Charles Ware Osborn was born on July 12, 1849 in Howard County, Indiana to James Osborn and Sophia Ware.

He married Frances Ann Allen on August 2, 1868 in Bethany, Harrison, Missouri. They had eight children:

  1. Oscar Henry Osborn born November 28, 1869 in Blue Ridge
  2. Lewis Perry Osborn born March 30, 1872 in Blue Ridge
  3. William Clarence Osborn born April 28, 1874 and died November 12, 1877 in Blue Ridge
  4. Everett Weir Osborn born October 29, 1876 in Blue Ridge
  5. Alva Earl Osborn born December 25, 1878 in Blue Ridge
  6. Martha Pearl Osborn born July 21, 1881 in Blue Ridge
  7. Emory Franklin Osborn born March 5, 1884 in Blue Ridge
  8. Claude Otis Osborn born March 7, 1886 in Blue Ridge and died September 14, 1891 in Clinton

Charles died on July 23, 1900 in Osceola, St Clair, Missouri at the age of fifty-one. His cause of death was drowning. Charles was attempting to ford Gallnipper Creek. He is buried at Pleasant Mound Cemetery in Osceola[1].
