"PHILO AUGUSTUS OSBORN passed to final rest at his residence, No. 215 Pleasant street, early on Saturday. He had been a sufferer for years and bore the affliction with patience. The deceased was born in Albany County 66 years ago. He was a resident of Ithaca for many years and married Amanda Hollister. He was for years an employee in the post office under postmasters Howe and VanKirk and a modest, respected citizen. He is survived by his widow and one sister, who resides in Michigan. The obsequies were held at 2 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Dr. Griffis officiating. Interment will be in East Lawn.^[1]
