Ephraim Osborn performed Patriotic Service in Massachusetts in the American Revolution.

Ephraim Osborn is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A084428.

Ephraim Osborn was born around 1750 in England.[1] He was a son of Jedediah Osborn and Deborah (Miller) Osborn.[2][3]

He served with civil and patriotic activities during the American Revolution. In Winslow, he was a selectman; was a member of the Committee of Correspondance, Safety, and Inspection; and served as a Constable.[1]

Ephraim married three times to three different women. They gave him fourteen children.

Around 1770, he married Miss F___ Atwood in Maine.[3] The children by this marriage were:

  • Ephraim Jr. (1771-1821)
  • Benjamin Atwood (1775-1843)[4]

About 2 Nov 1780, he married for the second time, to Sarah Brown, in Waterville, Massachusetts.[3] Ephraim and Sarah Osborn had these children:

  • Josiah (1781-1850
  • Jacob (1784-1859

On 26 Apr 1788, he married for the third time, to Lydia Martha Wyman, in Winslow, Kennebec, Main.[5] The children of Ephraim and Lydia Martha Osborn were:[3]

  • Jemima, b. 1789
  • Lydia (1791-1826)
  • Hannah (1793-1882), m. Alexander Jackson[1]
  • Martha (1795-1886)

Ephraim Osborn passed away about 1814 in Winslow, Kennebec County, Maine District, Massachusetts.[1] He was buried in Ames Cemetery, Benton, Kennebec County, Maine, USA.[7]
