EastHampton Town Records mention Bezaleel and his "share of whale," 1677.Brookhaven Town Records, under date Sept. 8, 1679, show that BezaleelOsborn of East Hampton gives 50 acres of upland and 15 acres of meadow inBrookhaven to Ralph Dayton. The Daytons, Osborns, and Bakers all camefrom the same part of Kent. Tradition says that the grave of BezaleelOsborn in South End Burying Groun d, was marked by read cedar postsbearing the initials B.O.
