Biography

Mansfield was a mechanic for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad for 10 years. He worked in the plumbing, pipe fitting, and sheet metal areas in the roundhouses. After moving to San Diego, California, he worked as an aircraft mechanic for Convair and General Dynamics. Mansfield served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Mansfield and Leora were also avid amateur photographers throughout their married life. After retiring, Mansfield and Leora moved to Ryan, Oklahoma.
