Biography

Hazel moved to Amarillo in 1959 from Belton. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Her Dad was Ernest B. Osburn and her Mom was Eula she had four brothers Boodie,Willard,Gene and Bobby. She was married for a time to Curtis Ray Mckinney then divorced. They had five kids together first was Jerry then twins Melba and Elva then Donnie and then David. She had 14 grandchildern and several great grandchildren. She lived in the Bevins nurseing home for many years, I know that she was very happy there, she also worked there many years before she became a resident there. While a resident she was in the Miss E.J.B. Pagent and won sevarl times. Grandma was crazy about Johnny Cash. She was a member of his fan club, and even had a 8x10 photo of him talking on the phone and below that was written "Hello I'm Johnny Cash" You didn't dare call her when he was on t.v. because she would not answer the phone. She loved to make people laugh and she really enjoyed laughing and having fun with those she loved. She also collected anythg with Butterflies Hence the Butterfly on her headstone

Grandma, Loved Johnny Cash!!! When ever he was on tv we knew not to call her .. because she would Not Answer the phone... she was a member of his fan club and had a autographed picture of him on the phone saying "Hello this is Johnny Cash" sitting next to her bed ... I have that picture.
