Biography
Elizabeth was baptised on 9 Feb 1617/18 at Willington, Bedfordshire, the daughter of John Osmond.[1].
Research Notes
Marriage is unproven, Bedford St Paul marriages aren't online, so I can't verify it without someone going in to Bedford Archives or Bedford Library, whichever opens first as is birth of any children.are two proven children enough?
- Ann, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth was baptised at Bedford St Paul on 19 Feb 1642.[2]
- Sinont, son of Thomas Carter, was baptised at Bedford St Paul on 4 Nov 1648.[3]
Their mother was an Elizabeth, but there are no sources to confirm Elizabeth’s maiden name.
She passed away in 1662. Three possible burials in Bedford 1662, 1665, 1667
Cooper-13819 11:10, 2 June 2020 (UTC) It seems impossible for Robert born Pennsylvania 1648 and Thomas born Virginia 1648 to have had the same father as the proven Sinont in Bedford England in 1648. Thomas has a merge proposed with a Thomas with a different Thomas as his father, so I have detached him to facilitate the merge. I propose that Robert be detached from his alleged parents, leaving the Bedford family in peace from any transatlantic complications.
Thomas Carter (bef.1611-abt.1669) and his wife Elizabeth spent their lives in England. Their are no sources for them having a son named Robert, net alone one born in America. Robert Carter (abt.1648-) has therefore been detached as their son. He can be reattached if primary sources are found.Hardman-1532 11:16, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
