Jacob John Phillips was Christened on July 29, 1769 in Claverack, New York.[1][2] His father, Johannes, was 18 and his mother, Antje (Oostrander), was 18.
He married Maria Ostrander on October 10, 1790, in his hometown. They had nine children in 20 years.
He died having lived for more than 100 years. He died in 1871 at the age of 102.
