Note

1850 Adams Co OH, Sprigg Twp, p 96. Martha Herd 60 f PA, alone
1840 Adams Co OH, Martha Herd: 0001/00002001(1780-1790)
1830 not located
1820 Adams Co OH, p 20: Caleb Hurd, 200001/31010 (1774-1794)
1790-1810 Ohio censuses not available
If Martha had been born say 1780, she could have been the mother of all of Caleb's children.
Oursler marriage in Adams Co OH, 1801: Joseph to Judy McDowell.
Charles Oursler bought property there in 1800. Archibald Oursler witnessed sale by Charles Oursler, 1802.
One Ancestry.com file calls her Martha Jane and connects her to the 1830 census of Jane How, misread as Hord. This is probably the widow of Thomas Howe, see 1820 census. It also illustrates the danger of considering without evidence two different first names as referring inevitably to one person.
1830, Campbell Co KY, p 263: Caleb {Laen?}: 01001/12001001. This resembles Martha's 1840 census, with oldest son at home being Caleb. Or it may have been the Caleb Lining of 1820: 000100/00100.
