The Overman family were Quakers of English descent who resided first in Connecticut, and then migrated to North Carolina and settled in Pasquotank County. Isaac's parents, Ephraim Overman and Sarah Belman, married on 13 May 1708 in Pasquotank County, North Carolina.[1]
