When Leah Owens was born in 1745 in Loudoun, Virginia, her father, Samuel, was 20, and her mother, Margaret, was 15. She married James W Monteith on August 23, 1763, in Virginia. They had seven children in 21 years. She died in 1844 in Stafford, Virginia, at the impressive age of 99.
