Biography

Anna was born 20 Aug 1800 to John A Owens, Sr and Nancy Gillespie in York, Pennsylvania. Anna was one of nine children. The Owens had some of their children in York and another half once they reached their settlement in Clearfield County.

Family

In 1815, Anna married Benjamin Lansberry in Bradford County, Clearfield, Pennsylvania. Together, Anna and Benjamin had six children.

Burial

On 23 Aug 1886, Anna passed away at the family homestead in Bradford County, Clearfield, Pennsylvania. It’s believed that she’s buried beside her husband, Benjamin, in the Bradford Cemetery, though the grave headstone is badly weathered and unreadable.

Research Notes

Data from Clearfield Co., Historical Society: other sources have Anna's death as 23 August 1886 and b. 20 Aug 1801, Bradford Twp., Clearfield Co., Pa. She married Benjamin Lansberry in Bradford Twp., Clearfield Co., Pa.,

Benjamin Lansberry, b. 1796, Bucks County, Pa., (son of Carpenter Lounsbury and Drusilla Smiley) d. 26 Mar 1875, Bradford Twp., Clearfield Co., Pa., buried: Bradford Twp., Clearfield Co., Pa. Anna died 23 Aug 1884, Bradford Twp., Clearfield Co., Pa., buried: Bradford Twp., Clearfield Co., Pa.

I do not believe Benjamin was born in Bucks County, PA. It simply doesn't make sense. The record from Clearfield County Historical Society is the only place I've seen this referenced.
