Biography
Robert was born Oct 9 1830 in Monroe, Indiana. He is the son of Ephraim Owen and Polly Kern.
Captain Robert Owen, was a pioneer boatman on the Mississippi as part owner of the steamboat Park Bluff and the steamer Prescott. His brother Ephraim was also a steamboat captain.
