Elizabeth Owens was born about 1780 in Ireland.^[1][2] She married Leroy Perkins in Rutherford county, Tennessee. She died before 1830.^[3]

   "... I’ll try to give it to you as my Grandfather gave it to me, many years ago. I copied down the Names and the places they came from, at the time he told them to Me. His grandfather, Leroy Perkins came from England [sic], away back, I don’t know when, but it is possibly at the end of the 1700’s or the beginning of the 1800’s. Leroy’s wife was ___ Owens and she came from Ireland. They were the parents of Jesse Perkins, (grandpa’s father) and Jesse’s wife whose given name was Moriah, as the daughter of Lodrick Williams who was from Scotland, and his wife who was Elizabeth Phelps was from Ireland."
