Joseph was born about 1835.
Married by the Reverend George Badger Witmore on 19 AUG 1870 in Mooresville, Iredell, North Carolina, United States.
Joseph passed away about 1910. [1]

Note: Most of his working life Joseph Franklin wa a farmer or a carpenter. He did not purchase land until December 19, 1899. He and his wife did receive money from Jonathan BARBER's estate and paid W.B. Watson $600 for 90 acres. Both Elizabeth and Joseph Franklin are buried in the Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery in Cleveland, North Carolina. After their deaths, their children gave redos, the ornamental screen behind the altar, to the church in honor of their memory. (Grady HALL 3 January 2001).
