Eugenio Maria Giuseppe Giovanni Pacelli was born on 2 March 1876 to parents Filippo Pacelli and Virginia Graziosi. [1] His family was part of the "Black Nobility", the families well connected in the Catholic Church and who held positions of influence and responsibility in the operations of the Vatican government.
Better known as Pope Pius XII.
