Biography

Eudotia Page was born on Jun. 28, 1843 to Chesley Page and Martha Smith.[1]

Eudotia married George Henry Duckworth on Dec. 24, 1864. They had no children of their own, but raised a foster daughter, Cloret Jones, who was proficient in singing and instrumental music.

Eudotia's husband, George, received his early training in a Christian home and at the district schools. He worked as a farm laborer and later took up carpentry. When he became of age, he engaged in the grocery business in North Salem, Indiana. He then worked in a general stock business, dealing largely in mules and horses.

George went to Montgomery County, Kansas in 1888 where he worked in the real estate business.

Eudotia Duckworth died on Jun. 23, 1923 and is buried at the Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas.[2]
