Biography

Francis Page 1594 - 1678

Birth

13 OCT 1594 in Bedfont, Middlesex, England
The Page Genealogy (1893) begins with John Page, son of Francis Page. No mother for John is named (on first review/search). A search for Francis found references to Francis, John's father (including his death/burial place, arms, ancestors [see page 37, which states Francis' father was JOHN and mother ISABEL____]) and several references to his son, Capt. Francis Page, who married Mary Diggs. A search for Isabel/Isabelle had only one result (the possible mother of Francis already mentioned) and there were no results in a search for Wyatt/Wyat/Wiat/Wiatt.[1]
Francis was the brother of Matthew Page.[2]

Marriage

Husband of Isabel Wyatt — married 1627 in Bedfont, Middlesex, England
Also - 30 SEP 1583, Dedham, Essex, England
Also - 1627 in Middle Plantation, York, Virginia

Death

13 OCT 1678 in Bedfont, Middlesex, England
Francis Page died (or was buried) 13 October 1678, aged 84, and was buried at Bedfont, in Harrow. A monument to his memory was on the chancel floor from 1678 until 1865, when it was removed to the churchyard. His son, Col. John Page was the ancestor of the Page family in America.[2]

FYI: Francis was married more than once and "Isabel Wyatt" was probably not one of his wives, as her existence is uncertain. I plan to detach her as wife/mother of Francis' kids soon (see the research notes on her profile and my recent G2G post linked on her profile).

Also, this profile needs some attention. The parents are likely incorrect. I'm currently immersed in the Wyatt family and can't devote time to it right now. I will add it to my to-do list, but if anyone else wants to update it, please do so. I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Profile now is attached as husband of Mary Diggs (Diggs-320) born 1638 - that cannot be right, can it? I posted a comment to Diggs-320 asking for clarification.

I suggest disconnecting his wife "Isabel Wyatt" as there is no proof that she ever existed. See https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/937677/isabel-wyatt-page. Also see the many research noted on Isabels profile.

Page-1005 and Page-826 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same three children
