Biography

Louise Magdeleine Langlois was born 10 Oct 1742 and baptized 14 Oct 1742 in the parish of Saint-Roch-des-Aulnaies, Saint-Roch-des-Aulnaies, Canada, Nouvelle-France. She was the daughter of Jean Langlois and Marie Josephe Brisson and her godparents were Jean Baptiste Beaulieu and Marie Magdeleine Peltier. [1]

Charles Fortin, son of Jean Fortin and Dame Belanger, and Magdelaine Pin, daughter of Jean Pin and Marie Josephe Brisson, were married September or October 1761 in L'Islet-sur-Mer, Canada, Nouvelle-France. Present at the marriage for the groom were Sr Couillard Desecores, Jean Fortin, Jean Boucher, Joseph Caron and Augustin Proulx. Present for the bride were Jean Pin, Jacques Dupont, Jean Caron, Jean Despres, Emmanuel Despres, François Alexis Caron and many others. [2]

Dame Marie Magdeleine Pin, wife of Sieur Charles François Fortin and of the age of about seventy-six years, died 16 Jan 1817 and was buried 18 Jan 1817 in the cemetery of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours, L'Islet, Bas-Canada. Present at the burial were the sieurs Prosper Couillard Depré and Joseph Carron and many others. [3]
