Biography

Joseph Paine, the son of Barnabas Paine and Mary Purrington was a descendant of Mayflower passenger Stephen Hopkins. [1] He was born 20 Feb 1744 in Truro, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay, British Colonial America. [2]

On 31 October 1765, Joseph Paine married Rebekah Rich, daughter of Obadiah Rich (1707-1788) and Mary Crowell (1712-1756) in Truro, Barnstable, Massachusetts, United States. [3] [4]
