Great grandson of Notable Robert Treat Paine (1731 - 1814); a signer of the Declaration of Independence

Charles was born in 1833. He was the son of Charles Cushing Paine and Fanny Jackson.[1] He was an American railroad executive and a General in the Union Army during the American Civil War.[2]

He passed away in 1916. [3]
