Mary (Paine) Rider was born on 3 October 1719 in Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay Colony, daughter of Ebenezer Paine (1692–1762) and Rebecca (Mayo) Paine (1692–>1762).[1]

Mary (11) married John Rider Jr. (16) (born on 4 April 1714 in Chatham, Barnstable; son of John Rider and Patience (Eldredge) Rider) in 1731 in Chatham, Barnstable. Their known children were:

  1. Ebenezer Rider (1746–1784)
  2. Susannah (Rider) Gray (1753–1838)
  3. Hannah (Ryder) Wooster (1758–1833)
  4. Capt. John Rider III (1760–1833)
  5. Christopher Rider (1761–1839)

Mary died in Dutchess, New York on 2 March 1790, aged about 70.
