He married Sarah Jane Duffy on September 20, 1903, in Liverpool, at Saint Silas Church. The couple would have seven children, four surviving, between 1904, and 1911. James worked in the Oil Manufacturing business. He lists his occupation as a "Whitesmith" (another term for Tinsmith, or some one who makes, or repairs things made of tin) in both the 1901, and 1911 Census of England, as well as his Marriage Certificate in 1903. James passed away in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, in 1911.
