Beryl was the youngest of three daughters of Margaret (Peggy) Alice Palmer, she was born in Toowoomba Queensland Australia but she was the 9th child of Benjamin John Palmer as he had been married before his marriage to Peggy, he and his first wife Emma Whittle had 6 children.
Beryl married Clarence Joseph Youngberry (Clarrrie) in 1946 and the couple married after World War II. The couple had four children Merrielle, Noel, Andrew and Graham.
The young couple selected "Fairview" Tara Queensland Australia to settle even though neither were born in this area. They selected a 'Returned Soldiers Block' and went about developing a sheep property. The dry Australian seasons eventually forced the couple to leave the land and move into Tara Queensland Australia where they remained until the children were all grown and then sold their Soft Drink Factory and moved to Bundaberg, Mount Isa, Townsville, Proserpinea and then Cannonvale before retiring to Coolum Beach Queensland Australia.
The couple were active in their local Coolum Beach Uniting Church and Beryl died at home in 2006 at Coolum Beach Queensland Australia her ashes were eventually returned to Tara Lawn Cemetery Queensland Australia to be interred close to her husband and one of her sons.
