OBITUARY HERALD-PRESS HUNTINGTON, IN, SUNDAY 14 DEC 1941 Mrs Sarah Elizabeth Paul, 76, widow of the late George W Paul, was found dead in bed at 7:20 am Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs Pearl Farrar, 218 West Taylor street. Mrs Paul had been about as usual Friday and had spent the afternoon at church. She retired about 9:45pm friday. Mrs Paul was born in Lancaster township September 6, 1865 to Jacob & Elizabeth Brumbaugh Palmer. Her marriage to Mr Paul took place March 7, 1886. He died April 30, 1929. Surviving children are Mrs Grace Farrar, this city; Herman W Paul, Fort Wayne, and Jay Paul, this city. There are 10 grandchildren & six great-grandchildren. Children dead are three sons, William Emery Paul, an infant son, and Palmer Lagrange Paul, and one daughter, Mary Lois. Sisters surviving are Mrs Levi Hendricks, this city, and Mrs Otto Fulton, Polk township. Brothers are Samuel Palmer and William D Palmer of Huntington. Brothers & sisters dead are Jacob Palmer, Henry Palmer, Mrs Aaron Shideler and Mrs Frank Emley. Mrs Paul was a member of the Congregational Christian church & the American Legion auxiliary. She was a Gold Star mother. The body was returned to the home of Mr & Mrs Farrar where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Monday at the Congregational Christian church, the Rev P Virgil Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Loon Creek cemetery.

FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR MRS SARAH PAUL Funeral services for Mrs Sarah Elizabeth Paul were held at 10:30am Monday at the Congregational Christian church with the Rev P Virgil Harris officiating. Music was by Frank Shideler and Mrs Mae Gooley with Mrs Mildred Reed at the organ. Flowerbearers were grandchildren, Joann Paul, John Paul, Carolyn Paul, Richard Paul, Jack Paul, George Paul, Perry Paul, Mrs & Mrs Robert Farrar, Mr & Mrs Chester Farrar & Mrs & Mrs Arthur Farrar. Pallbearers were nephews, Milo Hendricks, Jay Shideler, Palmer Emley, Charles Fulton, Dale Emley, Arthur Palmer, Gene Palmer & William Fulton.

Burial: Loon Creek Cemetery Huntington County Indiana, USA
