William Greenwood Palmer was born on October 6, 1806, in England. He had four sons and three daughters with Mary Elizabeth Henshaw. He married Mary Elizabeth HENSHAW on October 29, 1826, in Leicestershire, England. They had eight children in 16 years. He died on May 17, 1848, at the age of 42, and was buried in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
