I was born in South Africa in Sandton, Johannesburg on the 3rd of October 1998. When I was much younger, I had the pleasure of knowing my great grandmother while she was alive, her name was Anna Jacoba Redling, Birth date: 5 JAN 1916 Birth place: Fauresmith, Cape Province, , South Africa

Death date: 19 OCT 2004 Death place: Benoni,South Africa.

She had told my mother stories about her family and our Swedish heritage, which my mother then told me- that her father- John August Redling- was related to Swedish royalty. Anna's mother was Mable Gericke, and we don't know very much about her besides her date of birth and death. I'm intrigued to find out if the Chinese whispers are true, myself- and so is mum!

Hi Nikki,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.
