Biography

This William Palmer was born 22 Jan 1743/44 @ Stonington, Connecticut, the second child of Catherine Coats & Joseph Palmer[1]

He married [date not evident] Mary Brown. They had 6 children:

  1. Wilber Palmer, b. 1758
  2. Amos Palmer
  3. (daughter) Palmer, who m. Crarey, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  4. Phoebe Palmer, b. 1770; d. 1778
  5. Katherine Palmer, b. 1772; married Daniel Hewitt; d. 23 Oct 1813 @ Lansingburgh, New York
  6. Dolly Palmer, b. 1775; d. 1810

After his death, Mary (Brown) Palmer married Wait Rathbone.

Probably the reason it was missed during the initial search is because the given name, William, was spelled wrong. It's corrected now.
