He married 27 Oct 1731 at Stonington, Connecticut, Esther Prentice. They had 9 or 10 children during the ensuing timeframe through November 1752; their first seven children were born at Stonington.[3]
In May 1736, Christopher Palmer was confirmed by the Connecticut General Assembly as the ensign of the 3rd Company or Trainband of Stonington. The General Assembly in Aug. 1755, appointed him ensign of the 1st Company of the 3rd Regiment raised to go in the expedition against Crown Point in the French and Indian War. In March 1756, he was named ensign of the 1st Company in the 2nd Regiment but refused the appointment. The General Assembly appointed him first lieutenant of the 8th Company in the3rd Regiment in March 1759, and in March 1760, captain of the 11th Company in the 4th Regiment."
Christopher Palmer died in May 1790 at Stonington.[2]
