Sarah was born on 26 JUL 1709 and was the daughter of Thomas Palmer and Sarah (Michener) Palmer She was born at 6 in the morning (according to the Palmer Family Bible). **

Sarah was noted in a marriage record to John Baker in 1741 and again at Abington MM on 28 JUL1741. **^[1]

Sarah and John Baker had twice previously announced their marriage intentions before MM and he produced a certificate of clearance from Philadelphia on 28 September 1741 in Montgomery, Pennsylvania and "nothing appearing to obstruct them, they are at liberty to accomplish their said intentions orderly . . ".^[2]

Early in 1762, Sarah Baker and Joseph Kenderdine announced their intentions of marriage with each other at the Abington Monthly Meeting. Robert Comly and Richard Shoemaker inquired regarding her husband's estate and the child's rights . . marriage reported orderly on 31 MAY 1762. **
