Biography

The names of Margaret's father and mother are not stated. Her birthday and birth place are also not stated. [1]

Margaret is named by her first name only in many Rowley, MA records as the wife of Leonard Harriman. Many claim that her maiden name is Palmer and that she is the daughter of Thomas Palmer and Joan Jordan or Ann Wheeler but no documentation has been shown for that claim.

Based on the birth of her first child in 1650, it is assumed she was between 20-25, born ca 1625-30, in England.

Again, based on the birth of her first child in 1650, it is presumed that she and Leonard married between 1648-49 in Rowley. The couple had 5 children 1650 - 1660? -- Margaret and Leonard (3 boys and 2 girls).[2]

Margaret (?) Harriman was buried on October 22, 1676, presumably at Rowley, Essex county, Massachusetts, leaving her husband, Leonard Harriman a widower.[3]

To promote basic accuracy, please certify (accept) or deny (disqualify) wife as “Palmer”.

With two solid references that her surname is not known ( and not Palmer ) seems reasonable for WikiTree ‘managers’ to change Palmer to Unknown. The Lenard Harriman profile biography acknowledges her surname is not Palmer and to that I add this Harriman Assoc. pdf link http://harriman-family.org/Margaret.pdf. thank you

Palmer-7411 and Palmer-547 are not ready to be merged because: Dates are too far off for easy match - more research is needed and if corrections found we can revisit merging.

Palmer-3822 and Palmer-547 appear to represent the same person because: same dates and names of a few siblings. Different parents that need to be documented.
